Drive-in Racking
In the warehousing and logistics sector, drive-in racking systems (also known as “drive-through racking” or “through-type racking”) have emerged as a “productivity powerhouse” for scenarios involving the storage of a limited variety of goods in large quantities, thanks to their unique features of “no aisle separation” and “high-density storage.”
From raw material warehouses for food and beverages to centralized storage areas for chemical raw materials, from low-temperature warehouses for cold chain logistics to transshipment centers for bulk goods, drive-in racking systems enhance warehouse space utilization by up to 2-3 times that of traditional pallet racking through their innovative design that allows forklifts to drive directly into the racking structure. They are the “space management experts” for large-scale warehousing operations.
Drive-in Racking
Low variety, high volume storage: such as food (flour, white sugar), beverages (cases of beer, bottled water), chemicals (bagged fertilizer, drummed oil), etc., with few SKUs but large quantities per category;
Space-cost-sensitive warehouses: cold storage (requiring maximization of volume to reduce unit storage costs), renovation of old warehouses (unable to expand but needing to increase capacity);
Long goods turnover cycles: such as seasonal goods (festival gifts, winter heating supplies), strategic reserve materials (emergency supplies, bulk raw materials).
